Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to make an important announcement shortly, said the sources. The Prime Minister is expected to address the nation in a while. The agenda of his announcement is not known. Yet, the sources said he may make some big announcement over MSP (Minimum Support Price) to pacify ongoing farmers protests in Punjab and other states.
On several occasions, PM Modi made a surprise announcement by addressing the nation, one of them is the announcement of lockdown during the Covid pandemic.
The development comes hours after the Prime Minister launched several projects in Delhi-NCR. He inaugurated the 19 km long Haryana Section of Dwarka Expressway and laid the foundation stone of 112 National Highway projects spread across the country worth about Rs 1 lakh crore. PM Modi also held a roadshow ahead of the inauguration.
