Fair and remunerative price (FRP) is the benchmark price below which no sugar factory can purchase sugarcane from farmers.

The Union Cabinet has approved a hike in the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) of sugarcane by Rs 15, setting it at Rs 355 per quintal for the 2025–26 season, announced Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday.
Speaking on Union Cabinet decisions, Vaishnaw said,” Fair and remunerative price for Sugarcane for sugar season 2025-26 has been fixed at Rs 355 per quintal. This is the benchmark price below which it cannot be bought.”
