During an election rally in Barwani, Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken aim at the Congress party, alleging that disturbing slogans, including “sar tan se juda” (a reference to beheading), were heard in the Congress-ruled state of Rajasthan. During his criticism of the rival party, the Prime Minister expressed concern over the slogans, suggesting that such rhetoric was detrimental to the political discourse. This development underscores the escalating political tension in Rajasthan and the broader electoral landscape as the parties engage in verbal exchanges in the run-up to the upcoming elections.

PM Modi raised questions about the promises made by the Congress party as it seeks to secure power in the upcoming state elections. In his speech, he remarked, “Congress can even promise to build a ‘castle of gold’ for coming to power,” highlighting the need for voters to critically evaluate the electoral pledges put forward by political parties. The Prime Minister’s statement underscores the competitive atmosphere of the election campaign, where various parties are vying for the trust and support of the electorate in Madhya Pradesh.

During his speech, the PM emphasised the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) track record of delivering on its promises, assuring the gathered audience that all commitments made to them would be fulfilled. He stated, “It is the BJP’s track record that it does whatever it says. Write down my words; all promises made to you will be fulfilled. Ye Modi ki guarantee hai,” highlighting his personal guarantee to the people of Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister’s words come as the state prepares for crucial elections, and the BJP aims to secure voters’ trust by reaffirming its commitment to fulfilling electoral promises.

Meanwhile, PM Modi marked the significance of November 15th, commemorating the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, an iconic tribal leader. PM Modi celebrated the pride of the BJP Government in declaring this day as “Janjatiya Gaurav Divas,” a day dedicated to recognizing the invaluable contributions of the tribal community to India’s culture and the country’s freedom struggle. The Prime Minister reiterated the party’s commitment to honoring and empowering the tribal community, underscoring his view that they had been “neglected” by the previous Congress government.

During his address, PM Modi disclosed his forthcoming visit to the village of Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Jharkhand, where he would launch a significant scheme aimed at benefitting tribal communities across the nation.

In the context of the upcoming state elections, the Prime Minister characterised the choice as a pivotal moment for shaping the bright future of Madhya Pradesh. He juxtaposed the BJP’s development-oriented approach with what he asserted was the Congress’ record of neglect and financial mismanagement.

PM Modi defended his priorities, emphasising his unwavering commitment to serving the nation. He cited his recent Diwali celebration with soldiers at the border and previewed his upcoming visit to Jharkhand to commemorate Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister assured that the Centre’s free ration scheme, which currently benefits 80 crore disadvantaged individuals, would be extended for an additional five years, offering essential support to vulnerable sections of society.
