Niwas constituency Result 2023: In a setback, BJP leader and Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste, who contested from Madhya Pradesh’s Niwas constituency, has lost the election against Congress candidate Chainsingh Warkade by a margin of over 9,000 votes.

Faggan Singh Kulaste currently holds the portfolio of Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Steel.

According to the Election Commission of India, the result in Niwas constituency is confirmed and the Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste has lost the election by a margin of 9,723 votes.

However, in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP displayed a stellar performance and is set to form the government once again as the party is leading on over 160 seats, way ahead then the numbers required to claim the majority. 

Meanwhile, the Congress is leading on over 60 seats.

Congress leader and former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh among other party leaders have conceded defeat in the state saying there is a need to introspect.
