Srinagar: A fire broke out at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) camp in the Pathan Chowk area of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday evening, officials said. The fire broke out in a tin shed, which was used to store some equipment and clothes, inside the camp.

The officials said that the fire was successfully brought under control by the personnel from the Fire and Emergency Services, police, and ITBP. Multiple fire engines were deployed to extinguish the flames.

The fire, suspected to have started due to an electrical short-circuit, rapidly spread throughout the 100 by 50 feet-long shed, completely destroying it. Fortunately, there was no loss of life or injury to anyone.
