India have done it, with relative ease, an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20 series against Afghanistan. Gulbadin Naib’s surprise promotion clicking it for Afghanistan came out of the syllabus for India as the former captain smashed a 28-ball fifty and provided the much-needed push to the scoring rate for the visitors. Najibullah Zadran and Karim Janat at the end with their cameos helped the side a bit, however, 172 was never going to be challenging on a small ground like Indore and the Indian batters came out swinging. Even though skipper Rohit Sharma got out for a duck, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli didn’t let anyone feel that India lost an early wicket as they stitched a 57-run stand off just 28 balls. After which Shivam Dube smashed his second consecutive fifty to seal the match off, with 26 balls to spare.
