The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 10 results for 2025. Out of 2,38,50,796 registered students, 23,71,939 appeared for the exam, and 22,21,636 passed, achieving an overall pass percentage of 93.66%. This marks an increase of 0.06 percentage points compared to last year’s pass percentage of 87.98%. Students can check their results on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in, or through platforms like DigiLocker and UMANG.
Girls perform better than boys
In Class 10th, girls performed better than boys by securing a 95 per cent pass rate, while boys achieved 92.63%, a difference of 2.37%. The transgender students have achieved a pass percentage of 95 per cent.
1.41 lakh students placed in Compartment
As per results, 1,41,353 students have been placed in the compartment category. The number indicates a slight improvement from 2024’s 5.91%. The dates of the supplementary exam will be communicated in due course.
Region-wise pass percentage
Trivandrum and Vijaywada have secured an impressive pass percentage of 99.79%, followed closely by Bengaluru at 98.90% and Chennai at 98.71%. Here’s the list of region-wise pass percentages.

No merit list
As per the earlier decision of the Board to avoid unhealthy competition amongst the students, no merit list is prepared and declared by the CBSE. Also, the Board does not award first, second or third divisions to its students. However, the Board will issue the merit certificate to the top 0.1% of students who have scored the highest marks in the subjects. The Merit certificate will be made available in the DigiLocker of the student concerned.
Where to check CBSE Class 10th marksheets?
As of now, the CBSE Class 10th marksheets link has not yet been activated. Students have been advised to keep track of the official website. Once activated, they will be able to download their scorecards using their roll number and other details on the login page.
How to download CBSE Class 10th results via Digilocker?
- Visit the CBSE DigiLocker website or download the application on your phone.
- Click on ‘Get Started with Account Confirmation’.
- Select your Class, provide your school code, and roll number, and enter the 6-digit security PIN provided below.
- Click on the ‘Next’ button.
- Basic details will be displayed on the screen, such as name and DOB.
- Enter the CSBE-registered mobile number and the student’s DOB.
- Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- An OTP will be received, enter that OTP and finally click on the ‘Submit’ button to confirm your CBSE Digital locker account confirmation process.
