Mommy-to-be Anushka Sharma has one more reason to be excited about the birth of her baby.
According to the latest reports, her cricketer hubby Virat Kohli will be home for the birth of their first child, as the Indian cricket board – BCCI, has granted him paternity leave.
Reports state that the Cricket captain will return home from Australia after the opening test match in Adelaide next month to attend the birth of his child.
The cricketer, who has been eagerly awaiting his daddy duties, informed the BCCI of his plans to return home well in advance, board secretary Jay Shah said in a statement.
“The BCCI has granted paternity leave to the Indian captain. He will return after the first test against Australia in Adelaide,” Shah said.
Virat and Anushka announced that they were expecting their first child together in August. The baby is expected to arrive in January 2021.
“And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021,” Anushka said in a social media post while breaking the happy news to all her fans.
