SRK’s friend: Handled Aryan’s arrest with grace
Shah Rukh Khan‘s oldest friend from the industry, actor and producer Viveck Vaswani recently opened up about the superstar’s silence over his son Aryan Khan’s arrest in a drugs case in October 2021. He praised the Pathaan star for handling the situation with grace and dignity.
Aryan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during a raid in connection with an alleged drug bust on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. The 25-year-old spent 25 days in jail before he was granted bail by the Bombay High Court. Later in 2022, Aryan was given a clean chit by the NCB.
Speaking about the same, Viveck told onnect FM Canada, “I think he did not want to escalate it (the issue), he didn’t open his mouth, neither did Aryan, Gauri or Suhana, it is called grace and dignity.”
After Aryan’s release, SRK avoided interacting with media and remained aloof from talking about his son’s arrest on any public platform. He also took social media route to promote his much-awaited film Pathaan and interacted with the media only once after the film’s release.
During the press meet to celebrate Pathaan success, Shah Rukh had said, “This is an experience that’s yet to sink in. Maybe we will be more grateful to God. There were times when we had to make calls to people to make them release the film with ease and they did that. I want my films to release with love.”
Meanwhile, Aryan is all set to make his debut as a script writer in the film industry. His sister Suhana Khan is also gearing up for the release of her debut film The Archies. SRK, on the other hand, is busy shooting for his upcoming films Jawan and Dunki.
