On Mother’s Day today, Sonnalli Seygall, who was a part of ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, recalled the biggest life lessons that she has learned from her mother. In an exclusive chat with ETimes, she reveals how it is her mother who taught her to smile no matter what. “The idea is not to just come across happy but to actually be happy and at peace. I think this is such a rare quality she has and I am grateful to have got this from my mom,” she asserts.
When asked about a fond memory with her special lady, she says, “I have so many fond memories with my mother. Even though she was a working mother, she would personally teach me and my brother. She was involved in various aspects of our lives. She would get us really interesting board games for us to play so that we wouldn’t just sit in front of the TV and even personally dropped us at school. She still is a hard-working person and a super mom. My creative side has blossomed because of her”.
Talking about this year’s celebration, she adds, “This Mother’s Day, I want to tell her something that I anyway tell her often, that I love her. She knows this and whenever I get emotional, I send her voice notes or video messages to just randomly tell her that how much I love her. While I was just on my way to Kalimpong recently, back in my home state West Bengal, I realised that sometimes as children we forget to see things that they(parents) have done for us. So I want to tell Mumma that I love her for everything that she has done for me in her capacity”.
Ask her if there is something she wants to gift her mother? “I want to give her a gift which isn’t materialistic and I think right now there’s nothing more important than health. I hope and pray that she continues to remain the same and I wish the same to give back to her, that’s my only wish,” concludes Sonnalli.
