Shaan is ‘disgusted’ with Sonu’s selfie scuffle
The brutal manhandling of Sonu Nigam over taking a selfie at an event in Mumbai has left his fellow playback singer Shaan ‘appalled and disgusted’. He has expressed his displeasure over the scuffle and demanded the authorities to take strict action against the miscreants.
“I’m am appalled and disgusted at what has happened .. and in Mumbai ?!? A city that is known for its law and order, and safety. As a fellow artist, a fan, as part of fraternity I expect some action to be taken by the Authorities against the miscreants responsible for this rowdy misconduct and violence,” Shaan wrote on Instagram while sharing the official letter issued by the Indian Singers Rights Association (ISRA) and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
On Monday night, Sonu told the media that he has filed a police complaint to such unfortunate incidents into the light. “I also fell on the steps after I was pushed. Rabbani (Nigam’s colleague and son of Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan) came to help me and he, too, was pushed. God forbid, if something would have been there, he could have died. I filed a complaint because people must think about it when they force someone to take a selfie,” the 49-year-old singer said.
