Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt‘s much-awaited film ‘Brahmastra’ has finally been released in theatres today. The positive response from fans and critics alike has upped the excitement amongst the audience. Unfortunately, the Ayan Mukerji directorial has been leaked online hours after its release.
According to the reports, ‘Brahmastra’ is leaked on sites like Tamilrockers, Movierulz, Filmyzilla, 123movies, Telegram, and torrent sites in HD. Despite positive reviews and massive advance booking, this might affect the numbers. Recently, Ranbir’s ‘Shamshera‘, Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ and a lot of other films were leaked on such sites.
Recently, the Delhi High Court restrained as many as 18 websites from illegally streaming ‘Brahmastra’ after allowing a suit moved by Star India in relation with copyright infringement. The court said, “Defendants No. 1 to 18 and all others acting for and/or on their behalf are restrained from in any manner hosting, streaming, retransmitting, exhibiting, making available for viewing and downloading, providing access to and/or communicating to the public, displaying, uploading, modifying, publishing, updating and/or sharing on their websites through the Internet or any other platform, the film ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’ and contents related thereto, so as to infringe the Plaintiff’s copyright therein, till the next date of hearing.”
Despite taking measures, the film has reportedly been leaked online.
Meanwhile, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna. It also features Shah Rukh Khan in a special appearance.
