Bollywood actor Pooja Bedi defends Milind Soman’s controversial image of him running on a south Goa beach in the nude. She added that there is ‘absolutely nothing obscene’ about the photo and called it ‘aesthetic’.
Taking to her Twitter handle, Pooja Bedi compared the image of Milind with those of bare Naga sadhus and tweeted, “Absolutely nothing obscene about @milindrunning aesthetic pic. The obscenity lies in the minds of a viewer imagining more! His crime is being good looking, famous & setting bench marks! If nudity is a crime all naga babas should be arrested. Smearing ash can’t make it acceptable!”
Milind Soman celebrated his 55th birthday earlier, for which he shared a picture of his beach run. He also captioned the picture with “Happy birthday to me! #55.”
The South Goa district police booked him for obscenity, days after the photograph of the former supermodel taken while running on a Goa beach went viral. Meanwhile Ankita Konwar spoke to Bombay Times and said, “Milind did an impromptu run; it’s always impromptu,” she said. Talking about how Milind was being himself, she said, “I think the run just sends out a very positive message on body positivity and being free and happy with who you are. I adore him for always being so at peace with who he is. I think anyone who accepts themselves for who they are has this incredible light and energy around them, and people start liking their presence. Milind’s always been like that. Always himself.”
