Priyanka Chopra opened up about the time when she faced heavy criticism from people on social media for her body transformation over the years.
Recalling the phase, Priyanka told a news portal that in her 20s, like others, she too had unrealistic standards of beauty. Growing up in the entertainment industry, the actress added that she was just taking in everything that was thrown at her, not realising what it was doing to her as a person. She revealed that after her father’s demise, she found solace in food and it started making changes to her body.
Elaborating further about all the criticism she received for her body transformation over the years on social media, Priyanka revealed that she used to get online grief from people who used to tell her she is looking different and that she is ageing. She admitted that all this messed with her mind. Owing to this, her relationship with social media changed. She reportedly got into her shell.
Today, the actress stated that she is in a better place where she is comfortable with her body. According to Priyanka, she is now in her healthiest state which has come after a really dark phase of her life.
Meanwhile, on the work front, she is currently shooting for her upcoming web series, ‘Citadel’ in Spain. In Bollywood, she will be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Jee Le Zara’ where she will be seen sharing the screen space with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt for the first time.
