How are you planning to celebrate your birthday this year?
I am trying to celebrate my birthday with my friends. My family is in Delhi so I will go there by the end of this year to celebrate with them again. But now I am planning to have a wild night. I am going to party like a rockstar.
What is your fondest childhood memory of celebrating your birthday?
I remember one of my birthdays where my mother couldn’t bake a cake. She asked my father or uncle to get a cake and they forgot. So my mother made a halwa for me instead and I was so excited to cut it. My mother always made my birthdays special and that tradition sort of continues even today.
Any birthday gift that you still cherish?
My parents bought me branded glasses when I was already a professional. Even though they look really bad now, I still have them. That is one of the gifts I still cherish.
Who are your closest friends in the industry that you love to hang out with?
I am friends with a lot of people I work with. For the longest time I didn’t have any friends in the industry at all, almost for a decade and a half. Now I can say I have a few friends whom I really love. There is Bhoomi Trivedi, Himesh Reshammiya and Meiyang Chang who are good friends. Then I have some from my Bigg Boss house with whom I love to hang out. I also have my childhood friends who are very close to me.
Do you have a 3 am friend from the industry?
My 3 am friend in the industry is Raqesh Bapat. We have gotten very close in the past one year. We have been there for all the ups and downs in each other’s life. We have had misunderstandings, we have fought but we have now become really close. Other than him, Rajiv Adatia is my 3 am friend. I am also close to Rashami Desai and Umar Riaz. Source
