Lawyer Kashif Ali Khan, representing Munmun Dhamecha, one of the eight arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the ongoing drugs case said that he is ‘completely relying on the Panchnama filed by the NCB‘ as it stated there was no illegal substance was found on Munmun.
He said, “My statement on this case is the same since day one till date. I am completely relying on the Panchnama filed by the NCB, which states that while she was searched in the room when the raid of NCB occurred, there was nothing found from Munmun. There was no incriminating substance or LSD substance found on her, and there were two more people present with her in the room.”
The lawyer further added, “One was Baldev Raj and the other one was Soumya Singh and however, after her search, Soumya Singh’s bag was searched. Some incriminating substances were found from her which are some rolling papers as well as some pads. I would say that rolling papers are nothing but majorly used for smoking various drugs and all. When such incriminating substance was found from Soumya Singh’s personal baggage and LH Drug were from the corner of the room, then the straight allegation should be going on that particular woman, but however unjustifiably, Miss Munmun Dhamecha has been arrested.”
Khan also said that Munmun has no connection with any of the other accused in the case. Further stating that his client has been suffering the most in this. He said, “Since the time she has been arrested, and presented before the CMM court as well as the Sessions Court, I have been only saying the same thing, that in my case, she’s the only person who’s struggling and has been victimised the max. Because in the present case, there are multiple accused arrested and many of the accused are related or connected or friends with each other. But, Munmun Dhamecha is the only one who is not connected or related with any single person in the present case.”
Munmun Dhamecha was arrested along with superstar Shah Rukh Khan‘s son Aryan Khan and others on October 3.
