Veteran actor turned politician Mithun Chakraborty becomes the latest celeb to contract COVID-19 as per the latest reports. Currently, under home quarantine, the actor is said to be following necessary precautions as per safety amid the pandemic.
Earlier, the actor was spotted campaigning for the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) during the West Bengal elections. Interestingly, he was recently booked for allegedly flouting safety norms amid the pandemic with his election rally at Baishnabnagar assembly constituency in the Malda district of the state after it witnessed more than 500 attendees.
An FIR against the actor has also be filed by the Maldi District Magistrate Rajarshi Mitra following a complaint from the Trinamool Congress party.
On the work front, Mithun was last shooting for his upcoming film ‘The Kashmir Files’.
