Senior actor Dimple Kapadia turns a year older today. While fans continue to send warm wishes for the timeless beauty, her nephew Karan Kapadia spoke fondly of the birthday girl during an exclusive interview with ETimes.
“After all this time too, it’s really hard to put into words, the impact that she’s had on me and my life,” gushes Karan who shares a very close bond with his aunt. He went on to add how she has always been an inspiration to him. “She’s not only played the role of both my parents but is also one of the best role models. She deserves all the happiness and success in the world and I hope this is her best birthday ever!” he adds emotionally.
Karan is the son of Dimple’s late sister Simple Kapadia who was a popular actor and a costume designer. Apart from Dimple, Karan is also very close to his cousin sister Twinkle Khanna and her actor-husband Akshay Kumar. The budding actor regularly dedicates social media posts to Dimple and even calls her one of the strong and beautiful women of his life.
Calling Dimple an inspiration, Karan had once written, “Even after 47 years in the business, you still continue to raise the bar, you deserve everything and way more. You’re an inspiration, a phenomenal actor, and an even better human being. I love you.”
On the work front, Karan’s was last seen in ‘Durgavati’ with Bhumi Pednekar. On the other hand, after the success of Christopher Nolan’s ‘Tenet’, birthday girl Dimple will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor. She is also a part of Dinesh Vijan’s untitled comedy.
