If hearsay is anything to go by, actor Arshad Warsi is expected to undergo a surgery at a medical super-speciality in Mumbai tomorrow. The actor, currently shooting for director-producer-writer Abhishek Dogra’s crime-comedy, Jeevan Bheema Yojana in Mumbai, called off work on the film for today. He made a quick visit to his doctor who has apparently advised him to undergo a surgery tomorrow.
According to a production crew member, the actor had been experiencing some uneasiness for a few days now. The team was expected to shoot a set of crucial scenes with Arshad today but work had to be called off. “Arshad sir is resting in a suburban multi-speciality hospital close to his residence right now and is expected to undergo surgery for kidney stone tomorrow. He will be wheeled in for the operation at some point in the early hours tomorrow. He had been a little under the weather for some days now, but when he felt the situation getting aggravated, he decided to visit the doctor. He has now been advised complete rest, medication and monitored diet and water consumption for the next fortnight or so. He will require some time to recuperate post surgery. Work will commence only when Arshad sir is ready and cleared by his doctors for shooting,” says the crew member.
Jeevan Bheema Yojana is a crime-comedy, co-featuring Vijay Raaz, Bijendra Kala, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Pooja Chopra in pivotal roles. The film revolves around Jeevan and Bheema, two identical looking people from two diametrically different worlds whose paths cross, which leads to plenty of chaos. Arshad, who was recently seen in Bachchan Panday with Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon, had been shooting for this film since mid-March. He was expected to complete the schedule in a few days.
We reached out to director Abhishek Dogra for a comment but he remained unavailable. We also texted Arshad Warsi for a comment but he had not responded to us till the story went live. But we do wish him a speedy recovery. Source
