Arbaaz Khan recently opened up about trolls and hate comments he faced after he announced separation from Malaika Arora. During an interview with an entertainment portal, he said that while it didn’t really affect the former couple. However, they think a lot of it was not justified.
Calling trolling a ‘futile exercise’, Arbaaz said that although speaking about it isn’t going to change anything but he has gone through upheaval and scenarios where he has felt what he had to. While he has now learned to accept certain situations and how to move on from them, he asserted that no one has a perfect life and everyone makes mistakes.
Citing the example of Aamir Khan’s recent divorce from Kiran Rao, he added that maybe fans like to see certain couples together, but just because divorce happens doesn’t mean they are bad people. “They’re just two people who’ve realised that the reason they were together was to make… The journey had to be wonderful and beautiful together. Sometimes you have different paths, you grow to be different people. You have to let them grow and be happy. So we never got affected; I never got affected by comments on my personal life, particularly on my relationship. Of course, I feel they were all unnecessary at time, quite a few of them, but one had to ignore it and move on” he explained.
Arbaaz further signed off saying that he has no reason to answer anyone and therefore he has nothing to explain.
The former couple, Arbaaz and Malaika tied the knot in 1998 and parted ways in 2017. They have a son, Arhaan Khan.
