Instead of letting COVID-19 dampen his festive spirit, Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan took a trip back in time and reminisced safer and carefree times when he celebrated Holi with his girls – wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya.
Taking to his Instagram handle, the star shared a throwback photo and an important message for fans and all those celebrating the festival of colour. “A throwback to safer and more carefree times. Happy Holi everyone. Please celebrate this most beautiful festival, but from the safety of your homes,” he wrote in his caption.
Also doing his part to spread awareness about the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country, he wrote, “The number of Covid-19 cases are on the rise and we have to remain disciplined. Stay home, eat gujjias, take the blessings of your parents and take care of your family.”
Early this morning, his superstar dad, Amitabh Bachchan also did his bit to spread good cheer on Holi by posting a priceless throwback photo. The click saw the megastar enjoying Holi festivities with Jaya Bachchan and a baby Abhishek at their bungalow Prateeksha. “Rang barse bheege chunar wali rang barse… HOLI HAI,” he captioned the photo.
The Bachchans famously skipped their traditional Diwali party last year owing to the covid-19 crisis. The family decided to avoid any gathering at their home after Amitabh, Abhishek, Aishwarya and Aaradhya tested positive for the virus last year and made a full recovery in a few weeks.
On the work front, Amitabh will be next seen in ‘Chehre’. He is also a part of ‘Brahmastra‘ and ‘MayDay.’ Abhishek, on the other hand, has a couple of projects gearing up for OTT releases and is also awaiting the release of his film ‘Bob Biswas’, a spin-off from the Vidya Balan starrer ‘Kahaani’.
