Aayush Sharma and Arpita Khan Sharma hosted a lavish Eid party at their Mumbai abode on Tuesday night. The starry affair saw the presence of actors like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Sushmita Sen, among others. While usually, it is Salman Khan who’s known to host the annual Eid bash at his home, this time around the venue was shifted to his sister Arpita and brother-in-law Aayush’s house.
Talking about this change, Aayush says, “For the last couple of years we missed hosting the Eid party due to the pandemic. Since we were doing this after a break, Salman bhai wanted to do it in a grand way and suggested that we host it at our home instead. Though it was not happening in Galaxy (Salman’s home in Mumbai) this year, he played the perfect host and took care of all the guests. In fact, he was the last to leave.”
Ask Aayush about the turnout at the do and he shares, “Eid is always a family affair for us. Each family member has their own guest list and they personally invite each of them. This is exactly what you saw at the Eid bash. I am just happy that everybody graced the occasion. We wanted to make everyone feels at home. Thanks to my wife Arpita, who plans everything in a way that makes the celebrations seem very homely. She personally took care of the décor and decked up the place with flowers.” On his personal guest list were actors Kartik Aaryan, Abhimanyu Dassani, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma who too graced the event.
Eid parties call for a grand spread when it comes to food, and it is Salman’s mother Salma’s biryani that became the highlight of the menu. “During Eid, biryani cooked by my mother-in-law is a must. She cooked it for lunch. Salman binged on this biryani. She also cooked for the guests for the evening bash and I could see that people absolutely loved it. The nalli nihari was also quite yummy. I am happy people enjoyed the food a lot at the bash.” Source
