Toyota is working to launch its bZ3 electric saloon in the international market that will rival the likes of the Tesla Model 3. The company will primarily launch the bZ3 in China and later on in the Asian and European markets.
Primarily known as the bZ in concept form, Toyota will be launching the production model with the name, the bZ3. Based on Toyota’s e-TNGA platform, the electric sedan will make use of the Chinese firm BYD’s Blade lithium-iron-phosphate battery technology, which is claimed to be a safer and energy-dense alternative to the conventional lithium-ion batteries.
Dimensionally, it will measure 4,725mm in length, 1,835mm in width and 1,475mm in height. In the European and Asian markets, the bZ3 electric sedan will take the place of the Toyota Corolla.

With a kerb weight of 1,710-18,40 kg, the bZ3 will likely offer a top speed of 160 kmph and 176hp/235hp power. Toyota has not revealed the range and mileage figures as of now, however the India-bound BYD Atto 3 SUV will offer a range of 420 km with a 64.5 kWh Blade battery.
The Toyota bZ3 electric saloon is expected to launch in 2024 in the international markets. It might not launch in the Indian market, though Toyota and Suzuki have plans of launching some Made-in-India electric SUVs as well as MPVs based on the 27PL platform, according to various media reports.
Further, the reports suggest that the first launch under the Toyota-Suzuki partnership will be an electric SUV (Creta-sized) that will be unveiled in the year 2025.
