Skoda has finally introduced the Monte Carlo version of the Kushaq mid-size SUV in the Indian market. Launched at a base price of Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Kushaq Monte Carlo edition features a host of changes over the standard SUV to make it feel sportier.

The Monte Carlo edition is available with both the 1.0-litre TSI (115 PS/175 Nm), as well as the 1.5-litre TSI (150 PS/250 Nm) engine options, and can be had with both manual and automatic transmissions. The new special edition is around Rs 70,000 more expensive than the corresponding top-spec Style variant(s).
For the extra price, you get all blacked out chrome elements on the outside, along with the wing mirrors, roof rails, door handles, bumper inserts, and front & rear skid plates, dual-tone red and black upholstery, a unique red dashboard trim, an 8-inch digital driver’s display as seen on the Skoda Slavia, as well as 18-inch (one size up) diamond-cut alloy wheels that have been taken from the last-gen Octavia vRS 245 that was sold in the country in limited numbers. Moreover, you also get red brake callipers on the 1.5 TSI Monte Carlo variants.
The exterior colour options are limited to White and Red, with a blacked out roof as standard. You also get ‘Monte Carlo’ inscription on the headrests, along with ‘Monte Carlo’ inscriped door scuff plates, and ‘Monte Carlo’ badging on the front fenders. Other features on offer include LED headlamps with DRLs, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, ventilated front seats, a six-speaker audio system with a subwoofer, ambient lighting, and so on.
