Renault and Nissan recently announced their alliance and are planning to introduce 6 new cars, including EVs across both brands. As part of Renault-Nissan‘s recent strategy, Renault will reintroduce the all-new Duster in the Indian market by 2025. Here is what we know so far about the upcoming Renault Duster.
Design
The next-gen Renault Duster will be based on the CMF-B modular platform that is derived from the Bigster concept. In terms of design, the Duster will receive a new grille, flared wheel arches, revised bumpers and more.
Interior
Another important upgrade will be a new infotainment system. According to various media reports, the next-gen Renault Duster might launch in a seven-seater configuration.

Engine
Earlier, the Renault Duster used to be powered by three engine options – a petrol and two diesel engines. After a while, the Duster was offered with a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine only. Like the Toyota Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Renault might offer the next-gen Duster with mild and strong hybrid powertrains.
The All-Wheel-Drive made the Renault Duster popular among the Indian customers. We expect the upcoming Duster will bring back the AWD system to tackle rough terrain and snow smoothly. It will become the third car in the segment to have AWD along with the Hyrder and the Grand Vitara.
The SUV segment will see a massive change in the coming years with the arrival of new EV participants and the new-gen Renault Duster could win the hearts of Indian customers once again.
