

Nissan has updated the Magnite’s standard safety tech list for the 2023 model year, with a range of features now offered across the range. The Magnite now comes equipped with safety features like Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS), Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as standard across all variants.
Safety features like ABS with EBD, dual frontal airbags, rear parking sensors and front seat belt reminder have been available with the SUV as standard since launch. Pricing for the entry-level XE variant of the Nissan Magnite starts from Rs 6 lakh going up to Rs 10.94 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom) for the top-end XV Turbo Premium (O) Dual Tone model.

That said, the range-topping variant additionally adds safety features like ISOFIX child seat anchorages, a 360-degree camera, anti-theft alarm, speed sensing door lock, impact sensing unlock and more. The Nissan Magnite was also crash tested by Global NCAP in February last year, with the sub-compact SUV scoring 4 stars for adult occupant protection and 2 stars for child occupant protection. The bodyshell integrity was rated stable.
The Nissan Magnite is offered in India with two different engine options – a 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated motor that puts out 72 PS of maximum power and 96 Nm of peak torque, and a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 100 PS power and 160 Nm torque. A 5-speed manual transmission is available with both the engines as standard, while the turbo petrol engine also gets an optional CVT auto.Source
