MG Gloster now Rs 1 lakh dearer, sold out for 2020
NEW DELHI: MG Motor India on Tuesday quietly hiked the prices of its latest offering, the Gloster. India’s first car with Autonomous Level I features would complete a month in the Indian market in a few days.
Recently, the British automaker announced that the MG Gloster is sold out for this year as it received almost 2,000 bookings at its introductory price. When launched, the MG Gloster ranged between Rs 28.98 lakh – Rs 35.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
With the revision in the prices, the Gloster will now range between Rs 29.98 lakh – Rs 35.58 lakh (ex-showroom). The entry-level Super trim faces the highest price hike of Rs 1 lakh and now costs Rs 29.98 lakh (ex-showroom) instead of Rs 28.98 lakh before.
The Smart trim now costs Rs 31.48 lakh (ex-showroom) instead of the earlier Rs 30.98 lakh, getting a price hike of Rs 50,000. The Sharp 7-seater trim now costs Rs 33.98 lakh (ex-showroom) instead of Rs 33.68 lakh earlier, observing a price hike of Rs 30,000.
The Sharp 6-seater trim now costs Rs 34.28 lakh (ex-showroom) instead of the Rs 33.98 lakh earlier, seeing a hike of Rs 30,000. The top-of-the-line Savvy trim now costs Rs 35.58 lakh (ex-showroom) instead of Rs 35.38 lakh, attracting the lowest hike of Rs 20,000.
The new prices also include the automaker’s My MG Shield customization and service package.
