German automaker Mercedes-Benz has recorded one of its best quarters in Q1, 2022 by selling 4,022 cars in India. This marked a 26 per cent growth in the brand’s sales when compared to Q1 2021. The E-class Long Wheel Base (LWB) and the GLC SUV continued to be the company’s top sellers. While the GLE and GLS full-size SUVs saw a steady rise in demand.
More importantly, sales of models from the performance division AMG and the super luxury segment, grew by 35 per cent. These figures were reported by Mercedes-Benz India.
Mercedes-Benz India has reported its growth against the backdrop of global supply chain issues, semi-conductor shortage and rising input costs across the industry. The company also plans to launch newer models in Q2 of 2022.
