NEW DELHI: Mercedes-Benz India on Tuesday launched the AMG GLC 43 Coupe. This is the second festive launch by the automaker after the EQC EV and the 5 th AMG launch this year.
The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe starts at Rs 76.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV expands the existing GLC portfolio in India that includes the 200, 220 d, 300 Coupe and 300 d Coupe.
The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe is set to be the first Made-in-India AMG as the German automaker opts for the CKD route for the latest offering. The AMG GLC 43 is entering the Indian market more than a year after its global launch in July 2019 and it marks the 11 th year of AMG in India.
The AMG GLC 43 Coupe is powered by an AMG 3.0-litre V6 bi-turbo engine. The engine offers a maximum power output of 395 PS and delivers a peak torque of 520 Nm. The V6 engine is mated to an AMG Speedshift 9-speed TCT (torque-clutch transmission) and offers a 4MATIC four-wheel drive with a front/rear axle split of 31% to 69%.
The GLC 43 Coupe will be offered with 5 driving modes- Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual. The SUV can clock 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds and achieves a top speed of 250 kmph.
For an exceptional driving experience, the SUV comes with AMG Ride Control+ suspension system that ensures sporty driving dynamics and comfort on long journeys. The SUV is also loaded with the Adaptive Damping System (ADS plus) to adjust the damping at each wheel to the current requirements.
On the inside, the AMG GLC 43 Coupe is powered by MBUX, the AI based in-car virtual assistant and takes the in-cabin experience to a different level. The SUV offers a Burmester surround sound system, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and much more.
The AMG GLC 43 is loaded with safety features like active braking assist, automatic airbag deactivation, Mercedes Me connect and emergency services 24×7, 7-airbags, pre-safe and active bonnet and much more.
Additionally, the automakers is offering Star Ease service packages for the AMG GLC 43 starting at Rs 85,000 for 2 years/unlimited km.
