

Maruti Suzuki India recently announced that it has registered record exports of 263,068 units in CY 2022, registering a growth of 28 percent. In CY 2021, the company reported exports of 205,450 units in CY 2021.
The company states that the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Brezza, Dzire, Swift and S-Presso were the highest exported models in 2022.
“Crossing the 2 lakh milestone in exports for the second consecutive year signifies the trust, quality, reliability, performance, and affordability of our products. This achievement further aligns with our strong commitment to the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative to manufacture products to delight global customers,” says Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India.

Interestingly, Maruti Suzuki exports in CY 2022 are more than double the volume it exported in pre-COVID year (2019).
In 2022, the brand launched the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in the Indian market with a petrol and strong hybrid powertrain, with prices starting from Rs 10.45 lakh to 19.49 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). Moreover, Maruti Suzuki also introduced the new Brezza with some major exterior and interior upgrades at a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The brand also launched the CNG versions of the Maruti Suzuki Alto, S-Presso, Celerio, Swift, Dzire and Baleno last year. It is also working to introduce the Brezza CNG variant soon.
Maruti Suzuki is all set to unveil its much-anticipated Jimny 5-door SUV and Baleno Cross at the Auto Expo 2023. Also, the company is likely to showcase an electric car concept at the same event that is set to be held from 13th – 18th January 2023.
