Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced two new colour options for the Thar 4×4, i.e. Everest White and Blazing Bronze. While the latter was previously exclusively available with the Thar RWD, the former is brand new. White is the most popular car colour not only in India, but all around the globe, as per the BASF Colour Report 2022 for Automotive OEM Coatings.
Considering the popularity of the white shade in India, Mahindra has introduced the colour with the Thar as well. The off-roading SUV continues to feature black bumpers and plastic cladding on the wheel arches, black wing mirrors and the black roof. No other changes have been made to the Mahindra Thar apart from the addition of two new paint schemes.

In total, the Mahindra Thar is now offered with six paint schemes, namely Red Rage, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, Aqua Marine, Blazing Bronze and Everest White. The prices of the 4×2 version of the SUV were recently hiked by up to Rs 50,000. That said, pricing for the Mahindra Thar currently starts from Rs 9.99 lakh, going up to Rs 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
As of March 2023, the Mahindra Thar RWD has a waiting period stretching up to 17 months, while the Thar 4×4 can be yours in just 3-4 weeks after booking the car. The Mahindra SUV faces competition from the Force Gurkha in India, while Maruti Suzuki is also readying the Jimny 5-door to take on the Thar, with a launch expected as soon as May.
