Mercedes-Benz India has announced that Lance Bennett will take over as the new Mercedes-Benz India Vice President, Sales & Marketing from February 1, 2023. Lance succeeds Santosh Iyer, who is set to step up as the first Indian Managing Director & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, effective January 1, 2023.
Lance Bennett is currently associated as the General Manager and Company Director of Mercedes-Benz New Zealand, and is responsible for Sales, Marketing and After Sales Support for passenger cars. Announcing the organizational change, Martin Schwenk, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India commented, “We are excited to welcome Lance Bennett to Mercedes- Benz India. Lance has successfully grown the Mercedes-AMG business in New Zealand and has rich experience across finance, sales, operations and product management functions.”

“He oversaw the implementation of Retail of the Future in New Zealand. The company had recently announced that it delivered 11,469 cars in the country between January – September 2022, recording a 28% sales growth as compared to the same period last year. Mercedes also announced that the Made in India EQS 580 has received an overwhelming response since its arrival, bagging over 300 bookings. Source
