NEW DELHI: The competition in the B-SUV segment is growing fiercer day-by-day as the auto industry inches towards the second stage of the festive season. And Kia Sonet is the one to keep an eye out for.
Kia Sonet will turn 2 months old in the market soon and it has managed to topple down one of the top players in the segment, the Hyundai Venue. Venue was the first and the only B-SUV to feature the iMT transmission apart from Sonet.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is still on a dream run and its magic has still not faded in the Indian market even after 4 years of its launch. Brezza’s facelift, launched earlier this year, managed to sell 12,087 units in October and top the spot in B-SUV sales. Brezza also managed to earn the 9th spot overall in October sells.
Kia Sonet, the young wonder, managed to overtake Brezza in September figures but takes the second spot in the segment in October with 11,721 units sold. Kia Sonet is straight 25% up compared to its performance in the previous month.

Hyundai Venue has been losing the market share due to the heavy competition in the market and even the iMT feature could not help the SUV achieve drastic change in sales figures. With 9,020 units sold in October, Venue continues to outperform itself with a steady rise but still stays at the third spot left behind by the top 2 with a significant margin.
