

Hyundai has introduced a new variant of the Grand i10 NIOS facelift just two months after its launch. Known as the Sportz Executive, the new variant sits between the Magna and Sportz variants, and is available with both manual and automatic transmission options, with prices starting from Rs 7.16 lakh (ex-showroom).

As compared to the Sportz trim, the new Sportz Executive misses out on the automatic climate control feature. However, it packs in all other features from the Sportz trim, including the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, rear AC vents, 15-inch alloy wheels and height-adjustment for driver’s seat.

The safety features on offer with the new Grand i10 NIOS Sportz include 4 airbags, ESC and hill-start assist control, ABS with EBD, emergency stop signal, a high-speed alert system and so on. Moreover, the two new variants are Rs 3,500 more affordable as compared to the Sportz variant.
No other changes have been made to the hatch whatsoever. Powering the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS is a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine that makes 83 PS of max power, and can be had with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT.
The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS continues to be priced from Rs 5.68 lakh to Rs 8.46 lakh (ex-showroom). The hatchback puts up against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ignis, as well as Tata Tiago.
