Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch its new C-Class in India tomorrow. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be available in three variants, including C220, C220d and C300d. Ahead of its launch, here are the details you need to know about the much-anticipated luxury sedan. Take a look.
2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Expected Price
The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class is expected to cost Rs 5 lakh more than the current model. The 2022 C-Class will likely retail from Rs 55 lakh- Rs 60 lakh, while the AMG-Line variant might cost Rs 70 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Features
The cabin design of the upcoming C-Class is similar to the S-Class. In terms of interior features, it will come equipped with a 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment display with MBUX technology, a 12.3-inch digital driver instrument console, wireless charging, leather upholstery, connected car technology, a Burmster sound system and more. Additionally, it will receive electrically-adjustable front seats, ADAS, dual-zone climate control and an electric sunroof.
Dimensionally, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan is 65mm longer, 10 mm wider and gets a 25mm more wheelbase than the previous model. It also gets a 7mm higher ground clearance than before.
2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Colour Options
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be offered in six exterior colours, including Opalite White, High-tech Silver, Mojave Silver, Salatine Grey, Obsidian Black and Manufaktur Opalite. The interior will get three colour variants – Black, Sienna Brown and Macchiato Beige along with wood trim with aluminium accents and a metal weave variant options.
2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Engine Options
Mechanically, the new C-Class will be available in three engine choices – a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine (C200) and two 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engines (C220d and C300d) offering different tunes. All engines come paired with a 48V mild-hybrid technology and an electric mill for improved efficiency. The petrol variant produces 204hp power and 300Nm torque, while the diesel variants generate 200hp/440Nm and 265hp/550Nm respectively.
These engines are coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission as standard. In terms of mileage, the petrol variant will offer a claimed mileage of 16.9 kmpl, while the C200 diesel variant will provide a claimed mileage of 23 kmpl.
