Coming to the AdrenoX technology, it features a host of functions, such as window up/down, engine start-stop and safety features like e-call/SOS and driver drowsiness alert system. Other AndrenoX technology features include cabin temperature control, navigation, in-built Alexa integration, voice commands and 24/7 access to the customer’s vehicle data. Similar to the Mahindra XUV700, we can expect the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N to come equipped with these features.
Mechanically, the new Mahindra Scorpio will make use of a 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that are currently doing duty in the Mahindra Thar and XUV700. The former will generate 200 PS power, while the latter will produce 185 PS power (only in top-spec variants). A 6-speed manual and automatic transmission will be on offer.
Mahindra is introducing the new Scorpio with a 4X4 feature that is likely to be limited only to the higher-spec variants. The SUV will be offered in six and seven seater configurations.
In terms of pricing, the new-gen Mahindra Scorpio-N is expected to retail at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, India). When launched, it will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, Nissan Kicks, Tata Safari and Skoda Kushaq.
