As compared to the outgoing model, the 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross facelift features a range of styling updates on the outside. The split headlamp setup makes way for a single chunky unit with two LED DRL strips that are connected to the embellishment on the grille. The front bumper is redesigned, while the SUV is also equipped with a new and larger Citroen logo up front.
The Citroen C5 Aircross facelift also gets new stylish-looking dual-tone alloy wheels, along with updated tail lights. While the overall shape of the SUV remains unchanged, the changes make it look more modern and mature than before.
Interior & Features
On the inside, the 2022 C5 Aircross facelift is equipped with a free-standing 10-inch infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The AC vents are placed below the display which gives it a cleaner look. Other features on offer include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, auto climate control, electronically adjustment for seats, wireless charger, and so on. Citroen claims that the front seats have better cushioning than before, thanks to 15 mm of additional padding. Also, the gear lever is now replaced with a toggle switch.
No changes are made to the powertrain department. The Citroen C5 Aircross retains its 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine that belts out 177 hp of max power and 400 Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties continue to be taken care of by an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox as standard.
At its price point, the Citroen C5 Aircross continues to rival the likes of Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, as well as the Volkswagen Tiguan in the Indian market. Source
