
NEW DELHI: Jaguar Land Rover on Tuesday unveiled the 2021 Discovery. The family SUV now sports practical upgrades in its powertrains, comfort, and connectivity.
The 2021 Discovery is priced at £53,655 in the UK (Rs 52.46 lakh approx) and the Indian arrival can only be expected in late 2021.

The 2021 Discovery will be offered with 4 engines altogether- 2.0-litre P300 petrol, 3.0-litre P360 MHEV petrol, 3.0-litre D250 MHEV diesel, 3.0-litre D300 MHEV diesel. The family SUV now sports 3 mild-hybrid engines under its hood and it as versatile as ever. The P300 unit offers 300 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque, P360 offers 360 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque, D250 offers 249 PS of power and 570 Nm of torque and the D300 offers 300 PS of power and 650 Nm of torque.
All the mild-hybrid versions of the Discovery come with six-cylinder engines. The enhanced Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system maximizes traction and on-road dynamics. Some of the dynamic features offered now are Adaptive Dynamics, Terrain Response 2 tech, Wade Mode, Configurable Terrain Response, and ClearSight Ground view tech.

The 2021 Discovery also looks quite distinct with optimized proportions. The clamshell bonnet stepped roof, highly visible C-pillar are some of the old features borrowed but there are significant changes in the proportions of the car to appear more confident on the roads.
The SUV also features enhanced connectivity features like the new Pivi Pro system, OTA updates, 12.3-inch interactive driver display, 3D mapping, full-screen 3D navigation, heads up display, and much more. The in-cabin experience is also enhanced with the new Cabin Air Ionisation tech, Click and Go tablet holders, 4G WiFi hotspot, and the likes of those.
